-A qualified medical doctor,has
worked before as a Psychiatrist in many hospitals in the UK.
-Originally from Lebanon.
-Was President of Islamic Medical
Association in the UK before and for longtimes...,now he is the Spokesman
especially on Halal meat.
-37 years ago,his Islamic medical

-Dr Katme has done before, his
comparative scientific Medical research on the Islamic(prophetic) Method of
slaughter (ZABIHA)without any stunning... thus proving that it is
the only HUMANE method to the animal and it gives a HEALTHY TAYYIB
safe meat.(this was based on over 30 scientific papers done by non Muslim
scientists in the West.).

This was publshed by
UFAW(Universities Federation Animal Welfare) here in London.
This was delivered initially
and first as a talk in a big Conference on animal slaughter in
London to a large gathering of non Muslims scientists and representatives
in Animal welfare organisations(Zoological Society),after been nominated by the
Director of Regent Park mosque to represent the Islamic view and the Muslims in
Britain in his presentation to the Conference.

-Dr Katme was appointed recently as
the International Muslim Spokesman in a new international scientific medical
body called:
THE INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC
INSTITUTE FOR RESEARCH INTO THE DIVINE METHOD OF ANIMAL SLAUGHTER/DHABH FOR
PURIFIED SAFE AND HEALTHY MEAT
This new Institute has prooved the
new medical miracle of TASMIAH(Saying ALLAH AKBAR at time of Zabiha on a
conscious live unstunned animal):
It acts as a sedative and a
purifiyer of the meat from bacteria and blood.
Islam channel has showed the
study(1.5 hours DVD) more than 5 times.
(Dr Katme can supply the DVD
to any active person involved in the campaign for the prophetic Muhammad's way
of Zabiha).
- Over the years ,Dr Katme was
instrumental in many meeting with the Councils in Bradford
,Bolton..in convincing them to facilitate Halal meat to the Muslim
children in schools.
-He talks on the subject in many
mosques,colleges, Conferences of Muslim medical doctors ,radios,TV etc..his
approach is medical and scientific plus Islamic.
-He has written on
Dhabh/prophet Muhammad way and against stunning in many papers and
in many languages:the Independent,The Guardian,Muslim Weekly etc..
-Is an active and long member of the
Muslim working group which meet frequently with the Food Standards Agency.
-He is also an active member for the
campaign against GENETIC MODOFICATION(GM foods) in GENETIC FREEZE (an umbrella
body of over 130 non Muslim organisations who are against GM food and the GM
diet to animals)
-Muslim Campaigner for organic farms
and animal welfare.
-He addressed many gatherings of
Muftis/Ulamas in many cities: Blackburn,Birmingham,Batley ..in order to explain
the many Harams and problems resulting from stunning..ALHAMDULILLAH,after each
explanation or talk ,All Ulamas agreed fully to oppose any stunning!
-He gave a talk in May/2008 on
the many harams and health hazards which do result from the use of any
stunning/his research,in the National Conference of Muslim organisations in
France.
-He is a speaker on the RIGHTS OF
ANIMALS in Islam and he is hoping to launch soon ,insha'ALLAH,a new
organisation:
ISLAMIC CARE AND WELFARE OF
ANIMALS
-Dr Katme is speaker on eating
and the healthy diet in Islam, Islamic diet ,GM food,Breastfeeding,health
values in fasting etc..(many talks).
-Is also a Radio broadcaster ,he has
got 2 radio shows every week in English:

countries, He discuss usually the Islamic perspectives of many new
